Diet drinks - the artificial sweeteners taste vile.
Having to forswear foods I have loved all my life.
Trying to find low carb meals when eating out.
I self fund Libre.

I tend to order in bulk because it avoids loads of orders and hassle.
So it is a while since I last ordered.
Also being past my sell by date my memory is not THAT reliable over several months.
10th November was my last order.
So this may have happened before.

Anyway I ordered a batch of Libre 2 and paid using a Visa credit card.
The web site did the usual "redirecting, checking, yada yada" then reported an error.

I went and looked at my basket - empty.
I went and looked at my order history - New Pending Payment.

There doesn't seem to be anywhere to cancel the order.
There doesn't seem to be anywhere to re-submit a payment.
No email so far to say yeah/no.

This is hauntingly familiar so I shall wait a day to see if anything changes.

Has anyone else encountered something similar?

Yes, some time ago. I called them and found that I needed to place a new order. It was some kind of glitch in their process.

Now tried again with Mastercard instead of Visa.
Got to the TFA page, but no text message to my mobile.

Verily I am cursed.

Try again tomorrow.

Yes. It happened to me in 2019. I wasn’t able to pay with my MasterCard online. At check out I was directed to PayPal. It failed to process and I was prompted to try again. I did.

I later found out I was charged twice and yet Abbot received no payment for my purchase/order.

It took me sometime to get things right. I since stay away from PayPal. It is reported that if you don’t use PayPal for sometime, they will charge you £12. A little bird told me P/P played this game for sometime.

Ring Abbot ASAP to clarify.

Hope my reply helps.

Thanks to all for the help.
I've checked and the first attempt payment didn't go through.
I backed out of the second attempt when the Two Factor Authentication didn't work and there is no order shown against that attempt.
So it looks as though there isn't any money out there in cyber wonderland.

I'll try again tomorrow morning and see what happens.
If no luck I'll give them a ring.

Update:
contacted today by credit card provider because they had the original transaction flagged as a high risk transaction.
They say that they didn't block it.
I assume that it failed somewhere in the verification process.
As did my second attempt with another card.

I resubmitted the order today and it went through the verification without a hitch.

At some point I will need to get Abbott to remove the order which is stuck in the works with no way for me to change anything, as it is shown as pending payment.

Conclusion: Abbott could do better with the payment processing on their web site.
