Nothing we could eat on the menu and it reminded me of how difficult this might be once we all begin socialising again
Same here. Went to a National Trust property, absolutely nothing I could eat at all. Last summer hubby ordered a cream tea just so I could have the cream and butter, he had the rest. Today the choice was sandwich, sausage roll or cake.:banghead:
We are learning though and eat before we go or plan to fast while there

11:00 small smoked mackerel pate with lc soda bread
18: 00 salmon frittata, 4 of hubbys chips, 3 pieces lc brownie

In between was another visit to the dentist. Have an infection which may explain the raised bg lately, but may mean losing another tooth. On antibiotics first

It's not quite lunch time where I am in Canada. I had bacon, eggs and avocado for breakfast. Lunch will be fast food. We're grabbing burgers at "Five Guys" today. Mine will be a lettuce wrapped bacon and cheese double burger. It's about a 900 calories but the only carbs should be whatever veg I get on it (tomato, onion, jalapeño and of course the iceberg lettuce bun). Dinner will be left-over beef stew. I will only eat the meat and broth, while my family eats the root veggies.

The term "big boned" lol repeatedly told this growing up!
For lunch after a work out I had chilly con carne without the tomatoes with courgette rice. Reading 2 hours later was 8.2 but was probably the exercise that helped the number creep up.

@maglil55 just this min read your sad news about your brother I do feel for you and wanted to send you lots of virtual hugs to you and all your family during difficult times.
I’m around but just reading when I’ve got the time for now - will be back recording once life settles again -hopefully in a few weeks time says she madly crossing finger and toes. Just madly crazily busy sorting out complex caring stuff. Meanwhile re food I’m broadly sticking to low carb below 30g but a la ted naiman - ie more protein and moderate fat.

Bacon and a cheese omelette for breakfast.
Low carb ham and salad wrap.
Griddled steak and haloumi cheese strips for dinner.

Took the last of the antibiotics yesterday, not much fussed on that particular one as they taste like ****, and leave a strange feeling in your gut as they are taken on a empty stomach. :arghh:

Thursday ☆☆
*breakfast
Egg and grated cheese combined on toast then grilled. two black coffee

Took a train into town no longer need to wear masks on trains which is good especially for 2 hour trip and meet up with old work friends for Lunch.

*Lunch they had a lunchtime special $15 on a few meals so had the Chicken schnitzel with sweet potatoes fries and side salad.

Ate the schnitzel and some salad and half the fries also had 2 glasses of wine which went down too easily! and a large cappuccino (normally have black coffee but was feeling like a cappuccino today)

*Dinner
Tired from trip today and still battling my sinus hayfever tested my BSL it was 5.8 which is fine but have tendacy for it to drop with meds I'm on so wasn't to hungry at the time so quickly made some Home-made tabbelah served with lettuce leaves and also made a drink so added fresh pineapple pieces vodka ice & some no sugar cranberry juice drink blended in the nutribullet I even coated the rim of my glass with salt and added lime slices so my interruption of a Martini maybe. But used limes instead of olives hehe

I would of liked some protein with dinner but had forgotten to take anything out of freezer this morning so I think that's why maybe still hungry after my tabbelah dinner (that's my theory today) and Exhausted from travelling 4.5hours today so laid down on lounge which not a good idea as I crashed in front of the TV. When woke up 2 hours later was hungry so had a Handful of Darrell Lee dark chocolate bullets and a queen garnet plum.

BSL before bed at 12.05am was 8.5 bit high but know why.

Friday ☆☆
*Breakfast today made a

two egg omelette filled with pan fried mushroom 1/2 tomato and some cheese, served with buttered sourdough toast and 2 black coffees.

3 meals today, DD keto coconut porridge for breakfast, made a nice change.
Lunch - surprisingly hungry considering I’d had breakfast - a LoDough pizza topped with chorizo, mushrooms, olives and of course mozzarella.
Dinner: spag Bol (with BareNaked konjac noodles as the spaghetti) 0% Fage yoghurt with pumpkin seeds to follow.
Managed to reach protein target today (120g) it’s surprisingly hard, but not unenjoyable to do this.

Had left a lovely big tomahawk out the freezer for dinner which sadly had not defrosted in time. So that’ll be tomorrow.

Instead fasted for 24hrs and had a saag paneer and garlic butter chicken tikka take away for dinner. Looking forward to the epic steak tomorrow though!

Yes doesn’t it? I think it must have been your post which reminded me about them, thank you. I had a LoDough subscription which I’ve now cancelled as I have a bit of a backlog.
Have you tried it as a quiche base? Also very good.
