Hello All,

Would like to share update on blood results after 3 months.

Background : Diagnosed blood sugar in Dec 2020

  1. FBS (12 Dec) : 13.6mmol/L
  2. FBS (31 Dec) : 14.5mmol/L
  3. HBA1C (31 Dec) : 11.7%
April 11 2021 results
  1. FBS (11 Apr) : 5.3 mmol/L
  2. HBA1C (11 Apr) : 6.2%
HBA1C reduced from 11.7% to 6.2%

Medication :
1. Metformin 500mg x2 in morning and night
2. Losartan 50gx1 in morning

What was done:
1. Started Diet plan with focus on Low Carb High Fat (can share veg diet plan if anybody is intrested to know)
2. Walking (increased from 6k steps to currently averaging 10k/day).
3. Yoga (1 hour weekday)
4. Reduced wt from 71kg (Jan) to 64kg (Apr 17)

Doctor asked us to continue medicine for 6 months and if further reduce, DR may reduce medication. This is a marathon, hence taking one step a day.

Other parameters such as Kidney profile, liver profile, creatinine profile are within the range.

HDL Cholestrol (Good) increased from 1.0 (12 Dec) to 1.2 (11 Apr). Target should be more than 1.5. LDL Cholestrol (Bad) remained at 1.0 (12 Dec and 11 Apr).

Vitamin D3 is 32.2 nmol/L which is in insufficient rnage. Desirable is 75 to 249. Dr asked us to take Vitamin D tablets, Vitamin D food and in sunshine for 15-30 min.

I would like to thank community with numerous suggestions. This has helped us lot and big thank you. I hope all of us win this together.

Any suggestions or questions, please ask

Why not post your plan, this is your thread.

Although those like me have gone down a different pathway, results, results, results. Your method might help those who for whatever reason do not like meat, but are doing the veg method wrong-ish.

Comments only tend to be made when persons state categorically that their way is the only way, produces the best results etc and can't back up wide claims with facts.

Your food diary sounds delicious even if I don't recognise some of the dishes. And it has worked!
Just looked up poriyal. Will be making some.

Vitamin D works better if taken with Vitamin K2 but this combination is generally more expensive. Also, people on blood-thinning medications should take medical advice before taking extra Vitamin K.
