I'm guessing you're a T1 so not sure if I can have any sensible input but worrying about performance often has a negative impact.

Easy to say stop worrying but a lot more difficult (had to avoid saying harder) to do.

Have you tried the blue pill in the meantime?

Personally I would recommend speaking with your doctor or diabetic nurse, there are options they can help with prescription wise if recommended

Whilst there are alternative options that they can’t prescribe there are sone they can if needed and they will know your medical history and having that knowledge in important I tend to think

Dont want to assume but don’t fell embarrassed if you do, doctors don’t

Hi,

You appear to have taken a knock in confidence regarding certain stuff on other topics..

Have you talked things through with your partner?
I know when I have high BGs I'm just not interestested? Though I maybe performance wise interested.. (Not tonight dear..) "Not you, it's me don't cut it."
The point is, this may send mixed messages to the other party romantically involved?
& possibly undermine thier own feelings on the matter when all it is is, could be time alone till the BGs stabilise..?

I had a similar problem years ago when it would not rise to the occasion. My GP at the time told me to stop drinking alcohol as I had developed "brewers droop".

Six months off of the booze, and all come good in the end.:joyful:

I'd agree with a few others, stress & worry

Both brought to the fore if your recently diagnosed and/ or trying to get your head around some aspects of being diabetic

If it helps had issue ages back, (much younger then.)
Genuine 1st time...and omg, how it impacted me.:arghh:

Newish relationship, early days.
Bedroom one night was...uh uh oh dear :sorry:
"That's never happened before :wideyed:..honest "

But to "prove" myself .;)

We took advantage of others rooms / locations, no problem ...phew .:D

And then back in the bedroom..oh dear :sorry:

That mental worry reinforced the mental worry.
A self fulfilling prophesy

Don't worry about things .oh so easy to say
And almost impossible to do, until your body/mind let's you.

Could be more to it, but I doubt the worry helps

Maybe. .
Pressure off, not tonight Josephine type thing and just enjoy some intimate time..
is one of the options I have seen.

May be of use, & worse way to spend an evening with someone you love.

As for being sorry .mmh
Sure you won't be the last bloke to ever have such issues,

And sure your aware, but for the lady, there are other ways to show you care & make her happy, that make her the centre of the moment.

Good luck.
Impressed how composed you are dealing with this.
wish I'd been so composed back then :bag:

You're a good guy Jason, and there's nothing to be shy about here- I'm pretty impressed with how honest and candid you are.
I think if you take care of yourself and don't worry too much, you'll be OK. Good luck!

I was having problems in this area.. Some of it mental but some medical

Saw my gp about this and tiredness found my testosterone level was almost non existent

So I now take testosterone... But also have the little blue pill on prescription

Tiredness has gone now :)

My pump nurse told me low testosterone is also an endocrine issue so often come along side diabetes

From personal experience talking about the issue with my partner helped as she understood that the issue wasn't her she was a lot younger than me so sex was more important to her than me anyway.. And whenever I saw the consultant about it they always sent me a letter covering the discussion so I always showed her these so she knew I was telling the truth and tackling the issue

I have had ED for quite a few years I currently take tadafil as viagra have me a horrible headache
With a good partner it shouldn’t be an issue as we talk everything through and I explain what is happening. Sometimes the medication is great in which case it’s vavoom otherwise it’s a yawn fest but communication is key

As you know, A1c would really help over time. An ED clinic does this stuff every day and worth talking to.
Have you looked at articles online? It's like a step ladder in treatment, as we progress along over our lifetime. Injections at the site, should be easy for us diabetics. This article also has some treatments that I've heard of for the first time.
