Can anyone offer any advice or recommend how I can go about getting some decreasing life insurance.

The second I tell these companies I am diabetic, have osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia they run a mile and absolutely will not offer cover.
I am a functioning member of society, and work in full time employment have done since I was in my late teens. Admittedly I've had time off due to the illnesses I mentioned as I've gotten older but I manage them best I can and have not had any overnight hospital stays for any of them.

I feel like its impossible to get cover, anyone else experience this?

Thanks

I've never been able to get a sensible insurance..

most specialist companies will give cover but exclude existing conditions

don't forget that diabetics don't die of diabetes it always something else caused the diabetes

the can blame almost anything as being caused by it... rendering most insurance pointless

How long have you been diagnosed and well is your diabetes controlled? Being newly diagnosed or your diabetes not being in the best shape can significantly impact an underwriter's decision. Another factor is how old you would be when the cover finishes.

If your diabetes is well controlled without major complications you should be able to buy life cover without exclusions although you will be charged extra. You are best going to a specialist life insurance broker who can get competitive quotes.

Look at unbiased.co.uk to find an independent broker.

Nearly 40 years ago I experienced this. I decided "Stuff putting my money into your ivory tower, I shall just put it into my own brick one." Good luck.
