Hey guys it's been a while I have been having involuntary movements in my feet toes and hands and fingers iv have been having this a while so visited the docs the other day they checked me over and said I seem fine but told me that they want to refer me to a nerve specialist to check properly. Has anyone here got any experience of having involuntary movements in limbs or fingers?.

If you are referring to muscle twitching, I've had that for years. Well before I became diabetic. It's annoying, but everything checked out ok on my nerve tests. Not sure it is related to diabetes at all. Would love to find a remedy.

Something similar is seen with people on mood stabilisers/anti psychotic drugs - akathisia and extrapyramidal side effects, 'EPSE'.
It might be a manifestation of restless legs syndrome.
I had a thorough 'MOT' of medicines following two recent hospitalisations with kidney failure. Tweaking a few pills in a most minor way has helped to a greater degree. Tolerance achieved.

I do not have diabetes
I have been diagnosed with Essential Tremor disorder.
Do Google it.
I had severe anxiety last summer, and this can lead to shaking trembling, New traits such as restless leg syndrome, rubbing your arms and legs, my throat is dry and my tongue pops out, whenever I'm not concentrating or doing something. When I lie down my hips start moving, the wife has told me off and I just can't stop!
Worst is getting out of the bed in the morning, I am shaking, can't stand up because I will overbalance and be a bit dizzy, after sitting for about five minutes, it calms down. Many more like feeling wobbly when I get up too quickly, or turn around. If my head turns very quickly, I go a bit light headed and dizzy.
Why? No one knows!
My neurologist said that there is meds but as always there could be side effects.
Hope you get sorted, you will be asked to do a number of cognitive tests, this will help your neurologist decide diagnosis. Be truthful and ask questions.
