Hey,

I am due to start insulin on Tuesday but have been given E mpagliflozin too, which I started today.

The thing is, my readings today are rather odd. They are normally around the 17/18 mark.

Before breakfast: 16.5
Before lunch: 16.1
I then took the empagliflozin at lunchtime
Before bed: 8.3

Is it meant to drop that fast?

I'm on that too and it makes you go
To the loo alot which takes your sugars
With it. Yes I dropped that fast too at first,
Even helped with dawn phenomenon. I was
Surprised. It did balance itself out though
So try not to worry to much. Take care

Thank you for your reply.
It is good to know it has happened to others too. I was amazed at a 7.9 this morning upon waking. I haven't had one like that in so long.

6.6 this morning.
While out shopping, I began to shake a bit and felt dizzy. Had a glucose tablet and after a few minutes, picked up.
I'm at the DN tomorrow for my insulin appointment (to be shown how to use the pen etc). I am going to tell her I want to delay starting it.
