They get you to drink a sugary drink for a stimulated c-peptide test, so it shouldn't effect it but mention it to the surgery. I had fasting and a stimulated and as I wasn't producing much insulin, they came out with the same result.

Is it too late to ask at the surgery where you are getting your test done?

yip , just wondering if the milk and tea had anything to do with it

Let's covert your c-peptide to pmol/L : 1.4 nmol/L= 1400 pmol/L so you can follow the stimulated c-peptide values from the Exeter University link below. Stimulated usually means Lucozade

It's above 600 which above this substantial insulin production and stimulated c-peptide that supports type 2. You're producing huge amounts of insulin.

Which country are you in? I didn't think you could get c peptide tests on NHS unless they thought you might be T1. But maybe you, or someone else, knows different? Does anyone know if private cpeptide tests are available in uk online?

@Tannith Yes, private c-peptide tests are available in the UK, but at quite some expense and at a limited number of locations - you have to go in person for the blood draw, as far as I know. Give it a quick Google to see providers.

I do not have diabetes
I have had a c-peptide test every time I had an eOGTT. Also my second appointment with my specialist endocrinologist.
And all mine were fasting!
All these were at the behest of my endo.

You can get a c-peptide test done privately.

Must be different cpep tests, my one definitely said do the test two hours after biggest meal of the day, hence the brekkie, my test was a urine test, perhaps blood tests are different, I dunno.

Yours was to try to find out if you were producing much, if any, endogenous insulin hence the meal?

As it led to your T1 or 1.5 diagnosis then answer was yes.

For an overproducing T2 I'd guess that fasted would be better maybe to see how much overproduction is going on.
