Advice about keeping a food diary to get a pump?

My nurse told me that if I wanted to begin the process of transferring from MDI to Omnipod it could be prescribed but I would have to keep a food diary.

I do not at all feel comfortable doing this, and already struggle with staying stable and still looking at the back of packets for carb counting. I’m just crying about this lol no idea what to do next. I was really keen to get a pump and some more freedom, especially because injecting is super painful for me.

If anybody has any advice at all that would be great.

Hi Siriusblack

I was given a prepared food diary to complete when I started the process of going on a pump. Could you ask your Nurse if such a thing is available locally. There was guidance contained within the document which was very helpful.

If you want to revisit carb counting it might be useful to have a look at Bertie which is an useful online resource

Good luck it seems daunting at first but stay strong.
