I am from India

Sorry for my bad English

Our main food is rice , it is a bit hard to avoid rice all the time .

So i decided to include oats and milk and wheat whenever i can

I hope this is not a bad diet for a diabetes type 2 patient

Thanks

All those foods (possibly excepting milk) are high carb, so you would be adding other high carb foods to the one you know about. Not good for a T2. I use cauliflower rice done with cumin and mustard seed and while it definitely wouldn't be mistaken for rice, it does do the job.

Thanks a lot for the diet tips KennyA and Geordie_P

I used to eat rice 3 times a day .
Now i am cutting that to just 1 time per day
I think that is a good start .

For the rest of the times , i will try to stick with low carb diet as much as i can :)

I find milk is good. It's an important part of my protein intake.

Cauliflower rice is good once you get used to it - the main difference is that it will not absorb liquid so make the sauces thicker.
I grate the cauliflower then cook it on a sheet in the oven at 160C for about 12 mins. It can be stored in the fridge for a few days and reheated with spices or vegetables.
