Nope exactly what I'd expect. Most of us are higher in the mornings than the afternoons and evenings. Something to do with insulin resistance being worse in the mornings I think. Why? No idea. My lowest ever readings happen when I do the same as you. If I forget lunch then there is nothing to stop the gradual fall of levels from late morning onwards so you can end up quite low in the early evening.
