I am still finding my way in the maze of conflicting information out there. So far although I have asked none of the medics have told me about hypos. The DN just said don't worry about them. Could someone here tell me exactly what they are, whether or not T2's get them and how to deal with them? Apologies if this information is here but I haven't found it. Please don't blast me as I am still learning since diagnosis in September and getting very confused at times :?

T2 on diet and exercise don't get hypos.

A hypo is when you BGs go to low, maybe 3.8 or less, but some people can go this low and still not have symptoms of a hypo.

Diabetics on insulin and some oral medications can get hypos, they have to be careful to not try to go to low and leave a "buffer" by keeping BGs a bit higher.
