Fed up

Just been to gp I have had high sugars for 5 weeks following pancreatitis in January. Am on metformin x 4 glyclazide x 1 and januvia. He has now decided on lantus which I should start Monday but as practice nurse is busy it will. Be Tuesday.
I am back to see consultant on Monday for check up and asked should I tell him about the levels and was told that a surgeon wouldn't know about diabetes!
Am well fed up and upset hate needles and wish everything would just go away! Do I tell surgeon or not? I thought he would need to know?

It won't do any harm to mention the high levels to him. If he can't do anything he may be able to refer the information to someone else.
I've only just started Lantus my self and wasn't keen but after a few weeks now it's becoming part of my routine. Medication wasn't working on it's own so I had no option but to try Lantus.

Try and stay positive

Good luck

Jim :)
