Dislikes
Dictators who positively go out of their way to force misery, tears and fears, upon their countryman's lives.
Politicians who, in dealing with dictators, have a wishbone where a backbone should be.
The boy sat on the burning deck,
his feet they touched the water.

By Longfellow.

Squire Fulwood said:
You've cleaned that one up.
Now now now Squire dear chap,
one really must refrain from making assumptions.

I'm an innocent little fellow who has a clear recollection of creasing
myself laughing on being told that one as a rather young boy.

I'd no idea there was an alternative version but, pray don't enlighten me,
my happy memory must remain intact dear chap, right up to the very
day I pop my clogs.

Nothing to do with this really but reminded me of an old,and very respectable friend who, when in his garden working, lustily joined in the 'hymns' being sung on the green by a group of chapel members. Unfortunately he was singing the 'military' versions much to the amusement of all passers by!!!

Being a medic on a rugby team means I am frequently exposed to 'alternative' lyrics .... the challenge is definitely in not breaking into the dodgy version when the proper version is being sung (even if you can't help but sing the rude lyrics in your head!) :)

Non-insulin injectable medication (incretin mimetics)
Or there's Spike Milligan's version:

"The boy stood on the burning deck
Whence all but he had fled..... TWIT!"

the boy stood on the burning deck
Picking his nose like madHe rolled them up in little balls
and flicked them at his dad

The boy stood on the burning deck
Eating chips and scallops
A chip fell down his trousers
And burnt him on the knee

Well what did you think it was going to say???????

Golden glowing,
Tinkling bell
Seductive creaminess
Forbidden sugariness
Wickedly, hypnotically
Your sweetness
Has tempted me
And I bite
Into the silky
chocolateness
Of your ears

A tutor who tooted the flute
Tried to teach two young tooters to toot;
Said the two to the tutor:
"Is it harder to toot, or
To tutor two tooters to toot?"
