Irregular Neuropathic sensations in feet and lower legs

Hi I was diagnosed with type one diabetes in 1989 at 2 an half years old and over the last few years i have complained to my specialists about the sensations in my feet and legs (which often feel like extreme burning) for almost 2 years.
All they do is test my toes and refuse (both GP and Diabetic Specialists) to offer any additional help.
Has anyone else experienced these irregular pains and if so any suggestions to help.
I should mention i moved onto Nova Rapid 2 years ago, which seems to cause incessant itching and an insulin pump about 6 months, (shame they don't offer the medisense Paradgim with the CGM as it would help with the test strip issue some people are having on their prescriptions), and can see no relation to hyperglycemia!
I feel i should mention i'm only 26 and have had HBA1C's averaging around 12/13 mmol from 16-24yrs old.
Having recently been diagnosed with psoriasis on my lower legs, knees and elbows (which seems to spreading rapidly) i am more than a little worried being in an area of the country that favors amputation.
Also does anyone know if psoriasis is a side-effect to nova-rapid as i can find a relation to when it began and strangely enough it does coincide with when i started taking that insulin.
If anyone else has had this problem with skin irritations and neuropathic pain please comment as i have had diabetes for almost 90%+ of my life so far and not experienced anything like it.
My gp says stress is the cause of the skin irritations but i notice flare ups before extreme neuropathic pain.

I am type 2 and diagnosed with a small amount of nerve damage in my feet, which gives symtoms like needles and pins or the feeling of the feet being being hot, the higher my BS the worse it felt. At first I was given an epilepsy medication to help with the pain, then after a good while they switched this to a antidepresent as the doc said it controls the symtoms better.

Getting my BS back on track, has reduced the symtoms and get the feeling I have caught it in time before any more perminent damage has been caused.

I was diagnosed in 1989 also at the age of 13 months, over the past year or so I have had pain in my feet on and off and my feet are allways freezing cold (even in summer), yet again all the drs at hospital clinic do is test the feeling in my feet which is fine and say there is nothing wrong, :(

I suffer from this foot pain which sometimes is a burning sensation or severe itching and sometimes cold sensations preventing me from sleeping. I have the same issue with the medical people and Diabeties specialists not really doing much other that scraping the soles to see if I can still feel things and saying they can't do much more.
I am on imipramine 2 x10mg per day and this does seem to help but does not eliminate the effects. Some days it is fine but others it is extremely uncomfortable.
I tried Gabapenten but it was no better and the side effects weren't good.

I'd been back on forward to the podiatrist and GP with foot/leg problems. They kept telling me it wasn't neuropathy.
By chance I had to go for nerve conduction tests on my arm just 6 days after seeing the podiatrist and again being told no neuropathy. Whilst I was there the specialist asked me if I had any problems with feet. I told him the craic and he decided to run the nerve conduction test on my leg.... and told me I DID have neuropathy.

Results have been sent to the specialist closer to my home, who I'm seeing next week. Not sure what, if anything, they will do. But at least I have my diagnoses!
