Cold and low blood sugars

Just wondering if anyone experiences lower blood sugars when they have a cold/are poorly? I thought it was meant to push your blood sugars up? I've got a stinking cold at the moment and I've had to reduce some of my doses by as much as half to be able to get through the day safely without my levels dropping too low! However, I have been caught out a few times. Just wondering if anyone else experiences this too?

I get the same thing, I find that if I just take paracetamol for a cold, my sugars usually go lower.
I have no idea why, but if I'm ill and don't take any medicines that could make my sugars high, my sugars usually end up staying lower.

Yes very true, my old Dr always said 'you must be mistaken, it is not possible for colds to make your sugar go low' but I recorded my blood readings and showed him. It is really weird, I also find working on a computer for long periods does the same thing!
Weird!
