Dental care in Scotland for type 1 - is it free?

Hi can anyone help with this one?

I looked on the NHS site for Scotland and it said this was the case under exclusion HCS2 however a dentist I want to register with says different?


Can someone clarify?

We can get free check-ups, the same as anyone else. You would need to fit the other criteria to get additional treatment for free.

Yes there is different dentist. As far as I have read, diabetics are not excluded from charges. Check-ups are free although usually these can be incorporated with a scale and polish, which you pay for, in my experience.
