Dvlc & towing a caravan!!

I am currently taking my Pcv training and the dvlc demand that I test my bs levels before driving. (im t2) question is do I need to test my bs levels before I drive my car? Im asking because most weekends I tow our touring caravan to whever and back.

I thought it was law that diabetics are to test before driving ?

5 to drive , IE if you have an accident and can prove your sugars where 5 or higher before setting off you're legally covering yourself.

Type 2's tend not to hypo anyway. I don't see why you have to test.

Diet only
if you are T2 on insulin or any drug regime that can cause hypos, then you HAVE to test.

According to another12's blurb they are diet only.

If you are taking medication like gliclazide which CAN cause hypos, then you have got to test before starting to drive and EVERY 2 hours, and if your BG is less than 5mmol you must have a snack to bring them up, under 4 and you are illegal to drive, you have an accident and your insurance is invalid
