I really sympathize about the rice: I *love* rice. Don't really bother with substitutes because I don't find anything really works. What you could maybe try is having a really tiny portion of rice, like a tablespoon. Sometimes when I do that it kids my brain that I'm having a normal amount lol. But make sure you replace it with lots of other nice things - don't just go hungry. Its hard with a history of an eating disorder. I was anorexic when I was younger too. It's left me with big hang ups about being hungry and only having a small amount to eat. That's why I love low carbing - because it's not about cutting your food down,it's about eating different things. And ironically, I don't have large portions at all, even though I could if I wanted to, because protein and fat are much more sustaining.
