Hi all,
Firstly I would like to introduce myself, my name is Cassandra, I am a wife and a mum of 1 and I am currently studying to be a nurse. I am 27 years old. I have been a member and lurker here for a little while and I thought it was about time to take the plunge and sort myself out!
I am starting a low carb lifestyle change as of tomorrow, shopping is ordered to be delivered between 7am and 9am tomorrow for when I wake up. I want to declare it and document it here, hopefully to give myself some encouragement to continue with it. I currently weigh 145.1kg and want to weigh about 65kg to be classed as in a normal weight, as I am currently morbidly obese class III. I am type 2 but have some pancreas damage due to pancreatitis as a consequence of a bad gallstone attack; gallbladder has now been removed. I am on levemir and novorapid insulin, problem being the dosage is going up and up and up, my weight is going up and up and up and my blood sugars continue to rise. So, this is my attempt to gain some control and hopefully reduce insulin doses and consequently lose weight.
Wish me luck,
Cass x
P.S. - any advice is much appreciated!
