Achieving weight loss is not that easy. It needs a good strategy, planning and motivation to lose weight. Some of the weight loss tips, which can be followed at ease, are listed here to stay healthy as well as to stay fit with a perfect body figure.

Eating the right way helps achieving weight loss goals. Taking meals in smaller amounts, frequently helps in being energetic all the day and prevents from eating more.

Eating out is often associated with obesity as when dining outside, most of the people don’t check what they eat. Hence, to achieve weight loss, it is better to avoid dining outside.

Break fast should not be skipped as it has been found out that, people who do not skip their break fast are very successful in losing weight. If break fast is skipped the bodily metabolism slows down and when food is taken during lunch, it results in increased insulin levels and in turn weight gain.

It is good to stay away from beverages rich in fat and sugar as they will increase the insulin levels in the blood, while caffeine content can lead to dehydration.

Diet strategy can be planned in such a way that, without having to cut the favorite foods, they can be consumed in smaller portions along with healthy fresh vegetables or fruits to get a filled up feeling. By this way, the nutritional value of the food consumed is increased and fat rich foods are minimized.

Increased consumption of protein helps in burning the calories and avoids the storage of fat in the body. Protein supplements also help in building and preserving lean muscles.

Water plays an important role in weight loss as water hydrates the organs and the body. It suppresses hunger pangs, and can be taken in more amounts to get a filled up feeling.

Plan how you want your diet plan to be, adhere to it strictly and it is advised to keep a log for noting down what you eat and the amounts you eat with the weight measurement every week to analyze if you are progressing or not. Stay motivated while going through weight loss measures to attain success.

If weight is lost the healthy way, it benefits the person with a lower blood pressure, being able to be energetic in spite of controlled intake, healthy heart and organs, better body figure, less stress made on the bones, joints and muscles, and the most important of all stress free.

soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
There are a couple of things I totally disagree with in this post.
Fat has ZERO effect on insulin. Thqaat's why Atkins advocated a low carb high fat diet for his cardiac patients. In addition protein doesn't help burn off body fat. In fact a high protein diet tends to raise blood glucose in diabetics; and in those who have Chronic Kidney disease [common in diabetes] Too much protein is harmful. It's no problem with ealthy kidneys.

PS low carb high fat works well for weight loss in diabetics.

i think that are a good few points here. i have to say with regard to one of the replies low carb high fat does not always work for weight loss. I followed it rigorously and yet I put weight on, but not only that i felt tired, my skin was rubbish and i had zero energy. I don't believe its always the only way forward and people should be encouraged to seek what works for them. i have been following the Rosemary Conley diet for 3 months now. i have lost 2 stone. Its low fat, portion control i never eat high carbs anyway. I also exercise 5 days a week for half hour. . Oh and I have introduced green tea too!

Have you noticed how many posters on this thread have similar grammar and how all those with low message rates are complimentary. I have reported the link to Dr. Ch***** with his lecture to customers.

I agree the latest science shows that we should raise our good fat ratio. Omega 3's, fish oil, avocado, butter and cheese from grass fed cattle, coconut oil have found to be very healthy for over all health with those dealing with diabetes and cancer. This is the ground breaking science we have just review by renowned holistic specialist in dealing with Cancer and other diseases dealing with fungus in the body like candida and other types. Some carbs turn into sugar faster than others. Living foods make the body alive. Processed and other dead foods create non oxygen environment. Getting oxygen to the cellular level is key. H202 food grade 2 drops in a glass of water building daily to as much as 8 or more delivers oxygen quickly at the cellular level.

OMG Does this mean we have to eat live meat, fowl and fish - whatever the health benefits, I'd draw the line at going that far.....:eek:

Sorry I'm in a silly mood and couldn't resist!

Easy and effective tips to lose weight and like to add, take 5/6 small meals including snacks and drink more water than routine to boost metabolism and to lose weight. Workout regularly as it will burn your body fat and lose weight. Do not eat late, manage stress and have proper sleep.

A few points good and bad made here.

LCHF can be good and bad for different people, we all have different needs etc, i have spoken to a few Diabetic Specialists and nutritionists many saying the same thing.

A) Not all i know; but many T2's are fat if not obese already (many cant see or accept this) High fat especially Saturated causes higher cholestoral and blood pressure, and these are probably already of the scale in many.

B) You need carbs for energy. If you sit on your backside most of the day your not burning as many carbs therefore lchf may be good. But lowering your carb intake will make many feel tired and less energy than before. For people who do lots of physical work / exercise lchf is not a good idea.

C) As all should know at the end of the day: For weight loss its CALORIE INTAKE WITH A VARIED DIET.

Its not hard to work out excess calories cause you to get overweight!

Best Regards

Eating several meals a day is not viable or possible for most working people. 3 spaced varied meals is more than enough for your metabolism.

I'm not working, but I tried for years to follow the 'eat little and often' advice and it just didn't work for me, although I know it suits many people, it didn't suit me. 2 or 3 meals a day, depending on how hungry I am, suits me much better

This is the bit I really disagree with....I have found that the more I cut carbs, the more energy I have. Maybe we are different because I am type 2 and you are type 1? Or maybe I'm just different!;)

Eat less move more.
Every diet ever made for weight loss follows this rule. Energy in has to be less than energy expended.

However if it was that easy the diet business would not be the billion pound/dollar one it is today ;)

How many times do we have to point out that WE DO NOT NEED CARBS FOR ENERGY - WE ARE EQUALLY CAPABLE OF USING FAT AS WELL/INSTEAD. If you take the time to read the forum, you'll also find that we have a number of low carbing marathon runners and other athletes here.

With apologies for not only shouting but bellowing too...
