For the past few days ive had an almost drunk feeling. Just had my hbn1c results back saying its at 59 which is around 3.3. I'm not sure what to do if anything. I'm type 2 on slow release metformin. Any help is much appreciated.

If your Hba1c is 3.3 in mmols then you must have been skirting with very low blood sugar levels in the last few months.

I know when my reactions are delayed (like a drunk according to some), I'm hypo.

Have you self checked your bs at all? It will help.

I don't have my meter with me at the minute hoping to get it in the next hour. Have had some word loss problems over the past few days as well. Panicking slightly now :/

Thank you for replying

Assuming Claire is UK based and her Hba1c of 59 in new money that according to the converter is 7.5 % in old school, which is slightly high as its in the amber section of the converter, unless I got things mixed up. http://www.diabetes.co.uk/hba1c-units-converter.html

The symptoms do need monitoring and checking on a meter to see what's going on and treating accordingly.

No that sounds correct as I know that 48 is 6.5% so 59 is a little high.
