September 4th

Hi all

Hope today has been a good one for you. I went up to see my dad and it's his birthday today. He was born in 1923 in Scotland and served in WW11 as Paratrooper. He looks really good for 90, ( he still can't believe he is 90  bless him) I took up some cards and presents and had a lovely few hours with him.

MANY HAPPY RETURNS DAD (Alf) 90 YEARS YOUNG TODAY. LOVE YOU LOTS AND SO PROUD OF YOUR OUT LOOK ON LIFE.

RRB ( daughter XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX)

Setember will be great, my eldest son is marrying a wonderful young lady next week and my local carers group is paying for me to stay in a 4 star hotel for 5 nights so I can recharge the batteries while Mum is in respite care

Your septembers all sound pretty exciting with babies and weddings! In going to Spain for a week with my boyfriend and meeting my parents there.

I start a new job on the 30th. Still within the same company, but a new role in a new department which better suits me as a diabetic. So that's pretty cool too :)

Timetable for this year is now set. -Barring disasters. - 17 schools to visit every week. Nearly 1000 miles a month travelling between them. - Thank God for vacuum mugs and radio 4. I am seriously thinking of spiking my decaf with caffeine.

Ah, yes, the weather is changing! :) :)

September isn't quite my favourite month, those would be October and November, but it's heading in the right direction.

Time to find my PJs and take my winter coats and scarves to the dry cleaners. :)

I like September, the days are still warm, or hot sometimes, but then the night starts to draw in and it gets much cooler and Autumn is just around the corner, and I find it so cosy, comfortable and earthy :D

Me too
Autumn is my FAVOURITE season of the year :D
For me its the winding down away from the intensity of the summer glare , heat ,
and the roasting draining humid body sapping energy !

I adore the golden light of a lesser heat and glare , leaves gently fall then
colour changes in the richness of nature .
Fields have been harvested , birds have migrated southwards , trees become
a cascade of rich golds , deep reds and pinky corals .
Sounds change and the energy/pace of life slows somewhat gradually .
Certain animals prepare to hibernate for the on coming winter.
Nights gradually draw in , we can batten down earlier feeling cosier .
Close curtains , pop lamps , fires on ...
My two doggys closely by my side Freya and Gracey :D
Hubby on his throne [his chair!]
Choose our favourite autumn telly to watch and enjoy .
Dig out tasty recipes for warming healthy meals to make and enjoy .
Have our evening meals that bit later too .
Play our favourite tunes whilst potter about the house .
[Justin haywards Forever Autumn I keep singing to myself recently]
Get loved up with plenty of cuddles with family/pets too
Dig out your favourite books to read whilst in beddy all cosy and warm .
Chuck out things to charity shops to help others pre-xmas season .
Look out window see the visting squirrels collecting their acorns from our huge
oak tree behind our house .
Family of robins come to collect their meal worms we put out for them all .
Wear my favourite colours clothes and clobber styles that suit me so well .
Being so fair blonde [out of bottle] haired and pale skinned
Orangey reds , mustard yellows, french navy , creams , gold , black, pinks too .
I can even mix these colours up too very easily and successfully
Huge scarfs draped around a nice blouse/coat look so bang on trend too .
Beside keeping my neck cosy and warm .

LOADS of reasons above why I adore the Autumn .
Happy Days !

Ooooh its magical - I love it - I really DO ...

Anna .

I don't love it, there is no "glare of the test of summer" up here :( Aberdeen doesn't even know what summer is!

The last 2 days I have had to have my heating on :( With student loans to repay heating is an unwelcome addition to the monthly bills! Puppy and I are tucked under a blanket watching the xfactor tonight and still cold.

Colder weather also means the spiders start coming in from outside to traumatise me......

I grew up in the Caribbean - take me back please!!!!

The 2 friends who stayed with me and Lorna have now gone home, and taken the good weather with them. A day or so after they left, the town of Falmouth was hit by a freak hail storm with a bit of sleet thrown in.

Lorna and I ( see, I can speak good English if'n I want) are getting ready to leave Cornwall in an hour to spend the weekend with her brother in Wales. The car is loaded with gifts including a Bonsai tree bought yesterday, and two chilli pepper plants from the conservatory. I tried my hand at growing chilli's and am now trying to give some away. All 20 of them grew. All of them have several chilli's and we can't eat that much! I would rather retain the inside of my mouth, thankyou.

We went to a concert last night and heard the clarinetist Emma Johnson playing. A great evening out. A very good start to the coming season of concerts.

Getting ready now so I will say Ta Ta for now.
Lee.

Hi All .

How gorgeous an autumn weather day as 'yesterday' was here in lancashire :D

We got the summer tables, chairs, lamps, birdy tables put away in the garage .
Brought the winter feeder tables out for our feathered little friends .
Cleaned out the large grubby bird bath too .
Swept up all the fallen summer leaves .

Our reward this morning for our efforts has been all the birdys have been in bath
completely emptied it and ransacked all the feeders 'already'

Netty - I am not far from southport either , was there last weds and the
weds before that !
Be going there this weds too

Just got new diamond rings [engagement/eternity]
30years marriage to my hubby .
Jewellers along lord street - spent days with my nose pressed against all
the jewellers windows :p .
Till I spotted these and they both sang me a sparkly song of 'buy me please' :lolno:

I dine at Volare Italian restaurant on lord street .
[its one of my favourites too ]
They look after me soooo well there , do half portions for me and
don't mind me doing my BG checks or my insulin shots in the least .
Menu had a good range of healthy carb free choices too
Not 'all' pasta - I love their warmed goats cheese salad with cranberry roulis .
After a small bowl of their homemade veg soup .
I highly recommend it for when you next vist southport .

Why cant everyday be a Autumn warm yesterday 'day'

Anna .
