Just given myself a mild hypo when cleaning.

I think the only logical solution is to never clean again

Sadly, my other half no longer believes in the 'diabetics can't clean' rule. I did, however, have an operation for something totally unrelated last February. I was told that I had to be really careful after that - no heavy lifting, stretching etc. I managed to avoid cleaning for a full 12 months with that one! This March I got a letter saying that I had background retinopathy. I explained to the husband to be what this meant. Focussing on small objects, such as specks of dust, could be very dangerous for my sight. He didn't believe that one. Have to find some more excuses!

Can I add gardening to this list too ?

Anytime I want to bring my sugars down I mow the grass and pull up some weeds and bingo - hypo !

Shopping too, but only around meal times and with little one in tow..

Shopping I'm ok with, even in the supermarket! Gardening I'm more conscious of than cleaning, if I'm doing it a while ill tend to need to stop for a cup of tea and a biscuit to prevent the hypo (it's a wonderful excuse). But cleaning I always seem to forget!

I am the same! I can do proper exercise like go for a run and I am fine but a little work in the garden and my levels plumet!! What is up with that? lol

Hello everybody! I am currently researching on mobile applications and we are looking for people using diabetes apps. We have found that presently there is a very low numbers of downloads. So many people suffer from diabetes but the market is so small. We want to understand why the download rate is so low? Any comments? Do u have any reservations? Feel free to elaborate...

I don't get hypos, but I'd love to give up cleaning. I did my bathrooms yesterday and the day before and I was EXHAUSTED. I steamed everywhere even on tops of pipes that are not boxed in

I heard or read somewhere that once dust reaches a certain level it doesnt get any dustier I am going for that one :lol:
