Pump Upgrade Help

Hi everyone, Ive had my Medtronic pump for 4 years now and things have come on a long way since I got it. Its now outside its 4 year warranty and Ive been advised by my pump specialist nurse that I need to upgrade. She asked me to do some research and see what I like the look of. Has anyone recently swapped from Medtronic to another brand?
Im looking at the Omnipod and wondered if anyone recommends it? It has a new smaller size and shape and looks quite discreet. Just worried about the size of the company i.e tech support etc. Also if it has had many problems?
Any help is appreciated thanks!

My upgrade probably due in about three years lol. Didn't do much research, just went with advice given just happy to of had a pump. Next choice ifc allowed would be the omnipod. No tubing and waterproof brilliant. Hope he don't mind me saying but I do know sw11 bloke on hear has recently starting using it. Hopefully he give you more info on it. But no tubes lol.

The thing that concerns me about the Omnipod is if you lose the meter, you have no other way to administer insulin. Whereas with any other pump you can still use the pump without it's meter. :)

Ive chosen the animus vibe for a whole bunch of reasons, I REALLY dont like the look of the pod - it creeps me out.

really depends what works for you though, how have you found having a 'line' attached?

the line isn't a problem at all, It occasionally sticks out and gets caught on things. People see it and ask if its a Pager? Thats the most bizarre thing, not seen one since the 90s.

Its a toss up now between the Accu-Chek Combo and the Omnipod. Ive requested information on the omnipod and they send out a small plastic version of it to feel etc. My pump nurse is very supportive and says that shell help me with it, even though she has no experience with this company.

Has anyone had any bad experiences with either or?
Thanks

Hi I use the accu-chek spirit combo I did a lot of research into this before I got my pump in January I love this pump it use flexi link which is tubing but it comes in various sizes and they give you so many different options on how to wear your pump. The needle sizes all very and the insertion device doesnt hurt at all. its a very simple pump to use. Hoppe this helps
