A brand of drink or regional variation doesn't count unless its the only one of its kind. Example french Wine (answer is wine) Oi, stop the cheating you lot!

Actually, I think one of mine doesn't count "Babycham" is its a brand, but would it count as another description?

grappa is a distillate from the pressed grapes after the wine fermentation. An Italian Eau de Vie essentially. Cheap stuff is like rocket fuel, better stuff can be very subtle and ages well like a bandy.

I'd personally say yes, just googled it and it's a drink rather than a brand, really good. There are lots of different brands of india pale ale on the web so I'd say it's an alcoholic beverage. I'm not the expert though, I don't drink!
