Changing from Metformin tablets to Glucophage powders

A few days ago I had to change from Metformin tablets to the powder form as I was having trouble swallowing the tablets, even when cut. I take 2 1000mg sachets per day. I had slowly worked the tablets up to this dose & seemed to be tolerating it quite well. However, since changing to the powder my stomach has been quite upset.

I wonder if anyone else has had this experience, and if so, did it settle down for you? I'm a bit concerned in case it doesn't settle down and I have to change to something else.

Any words of experience would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

I've never taken the powders but my thoughts would be that maybe you need to build them up slowly like you did with the tablets.
