My B'S where 4.4 this morning I feel so tired and have a bad head dizzy.
I want to go out into the garden but nervous. 4.4 is low for me I'm usually in the 6.0. Heart feels a bit fluttery.

Have you eaten today? It might be worth having a small snack before going out to reduce the risk if hypo.

it could be a false hypo because you haven't had your BG this low going by your posts
I read you need to be on drugs that can cause a hypo to have one. when it gets low enough your liver will dump some sugar
check your BP? I saw it has been 130/60 and under 60 is low and even 60 can give a funny head
edit
it is possible for metformin to hypo when calorie intake is insufficient or heavy exercise
