Ok it's been three months since my last test. In that time my consultant put me (type 1 and on a pump) on a low carb diet.

My new result is 44! :)

I'm over the moon. Even tho I speak old speak on results and not quite sure what is translates to. I know its in the green

A result of 44mmol/mol would be a 6.2% in the old conversion.

Mine was 5.1% or 32 mmol/mol a couple of months ago.

Well january I was 98/11.1% and am now down to 65/8.1%, I have done better before but I have struggled a lot recently and a lot of effort has gone into that, I still have a long way to go and my aim is a low 6!

I was diagnosed with Type 2 in Dec 2013 with HbA1c 13.8% (127.3), now down to 6.9% (51.9) in March, 2014.
I was a bit disappointed, as was hoping for lower than this.
I have been walking for an hour or so each day and have lost 10 kilos, cutting out sugar and all grains, including bread, but I find it difficult to carb count exactly or control portions. My computer is a bit slow for using all the apps that ppl here use and I don't have a mobile phone, because of poor reception in the country area where I live. Not sure how much protein I should be eating and if I should weigh it.

I had my bloods taken 3 weeks ago, rang a 2 weeks after having it done. They told me they hadn't had the results back yet so they would ring the lab to find out and ring me back straight away... Surprise surprise I had no call back. I rang back the day after and they said that they lost my blood!!!!! They lost it !? I asked how, and they said that it left the doctors but never reached the hospital...... Like someone ran away with it !!! Haha anyway they told me to come back in and have another test done but I said no (because I didn't want to go through it again(because I always faint)).
Well now I have changed doctors because I can't be doing with that all the time and I'm getting my bloods done again next week :)

I get text messages through from my surgery with results... 7.6. The result came through last week after a test in which I assured my specialist I was on top of it.. (They have been a little worse in the past.) She looked unconvinced at the time.

Not bad considering my "rock & roll" lifestyle....

Mine started out at 14.2% about 2 years ago and I have got them down to 10.2% which is about 89, but they have stayed at this for about 8 months now and I can't seem to bring them down!! So frustrating

Mind sharing what your diet is and if you count carbs? Someone here could offer you some sound advice.

Got quite a healthy diet (apart from when I find myself binging) and I carb count as best as I can it's purely down to forgetting to test my Blood glucose levels, once I get out of the routine I find it hard to get back into it! And on hypos I take way too much sugar than recommended. Been diabetic for 6 years now and still trying to find a balance, any advice is welcome!!

HbA1c down to 6.5 after changing from Humulin M3 (28years) 2 years ago. I needed a lot of convincing but its done the trick. Historically I was between 7-8 and no hypos in over 10 years. Hoping to get to 6 by the end of the year :)
