hi can someone please shed some light on the subject please im taking clarithromycin not sure on spelling for a suspected chest infection and today my sugars have been higher than normal 9.1 first thing then 11.1 11.7 now 14.7 im not on any medication for my diabetes and haven't eaten anything I shouldn't coz my diet it pretty much the same day in and day out could it be the antibiotics and what can I do about it. my lips are tingling im thirsty and need the loo a lot

I know your BG levels can go up if you are under the weather or feeling unwell from a cold etc.
Not sure about antibiotics affecting levels though.

It's more to do with the infection causing the high bg levels than the antibiotics themselves,
