Will try there robert thxIn Sainsbury's, it's in the (cooking) oil section
It's to give you extra energy. Coconut oil is a medium-chain fatty acid which can be utilised for energy more quickly than long-chain fatty acids. Also if you get the cold-pressed extra virgin oil (I get the Lucy Bee oil), it has a coconut flavour which the cheaper refined versions don't.What does the oil do? Is it for flavouring a xtra shot of fat or sweetness or all the above lol
If you get refined coconut oil like KTC brand there is no coconut flavour. Also, I use Kerrygold butter which is from grass-fed cows so I am OK with it being salted.Only thing putting me off is the coconut flavour. Not my favourite.
Why must it be unsalted butter?
Low cab high fat normally requires extra sodium.
Omg 16.00 a tub In h&b needless to say I tried it without lol while not unpleasant taste( did think it sounded bit yukky but went in with an open mind) by the time I made the coffee blended in the butter then topped off with a drop of double cream it was luke warm lol, any tips on keeping it hot enuf to drink, can It be nuked to reheat?
I preheat everything the coffee goes in during the process by running them under the hot tap... the cafetière, the pan I froth it all in and the mug.Omg 16.00 a tub In h&b needless to say I tried it without lol while not unpleasant taste( did think it sounded bit yukky but went in with an open mind) by the time I made the coffee blended in the butter then topped off with a drop of double cream it was luke warm lol, any tips on keeping it hot enuf to drink, can It be nuked to reheat?

I can't imagine salt in coffee tasting to good.
For best results with adding butter and or coconut oil, you need to use a blender to froth it all up, otherwise you end up with an oil slickJust dipped my toe in the water with "bullet resistant coffee".
Normal Nescafe instant with double cream, but a big lump of butter added.
This was salted butter, by the way
It was still way too hot for me to drink, but then I normally add a lot of cold water to my instant coffee because of my wimpish mouth.
It tastes remarkably good, although the predominant taste is slightly salted butter - there is a clear yellow film on top of the coffee.
It does make me wonder if this is all a little complicated, though.
Why not just eat the cube of butter then drink the coffee?
Then again. I really like butter.
Cheers

P.S. if Olive Oil is good for you, why not just drink a glass of that?
Nice fruity extra virgin, of course.
