How are you doing?Looked up Wockhardt's website and the only long acting insulin to replace Levemir, without protamine or isophane ,is bovine lente in vials.
When protamine/isophane mixture as in Humulin I, peaks it makes my bs plummet uncontrolably and very difficult to get it stable for some worrying time.
To get used to changing from Levemir to Bovine Lente, to cover meals etc would continue using Humalog.
Have you got any further?
Not getting enough sleep sounds bad.
We are still asking for Bovine Lente, with bovine neutral.
We saw the GP again today and are hopeful.
We have researched lots online.
More and more convinced.
Bovine Lente sounds very steady.
Have you rung IDDT to ask for advice?
Can you get a referral from your GP to another consultant / community clinic?
Hope that you are okay,
