The freestyle optium ones out of curiosity? Still waiting for my long term illness card to come through so just wondering how the price compares to Ireland as I'm going there this week?

Ouch. I bought 100 strips pack for a freestyle this morning and they cost (In pounds) 19 and that's before a NNDS discount

Np thanks that makes sense now! We do get them on NHS they can just be a bit stingy with quantity so I buy my own sometimes. Tx

They're often your first defence against this condition and to think they're that expensive where you come from alarms me. A full pack of 100 here costs $70 but when you're on the register, you pay peanuts

NHS Price for 50 Freestyle Optium strips is roughly £15.40. To buy from a shop, you'll struggle to get change from £20.

How much is a meter @jack412 ?
the link says Price: £11.60 for the meter, pen and 10 strips and lancets, you say you're a diabetic in the drop down box so there is no VAT
you then also order extra lancets and how many strips you want at about 5 quid per 50 for packs of 5 with the code

Just checked my mail and my strips were 34.95 for 250 the discount code obviously did not work but think somebody else said that too a couple of weeks ago. Still cheaper than most though

Did you buy them direst from Home Health, or from Amazon? The discount code only applies if you buy from Home Health.

I used to buy the Aviva Accu Chek strips at about £6.70 for 10 but have now switched to the Code Free Monitor and strips from Amazon. Much much cheaper.
