Drink suggestions when out

I don't drink alcohol normally (rarely I may have wine) and in the past when out socialising I've normally had orange or cranberry juice. I can't have those now

Has anyone any suggestions for diabetic friendly non-alcoholic drinks when I'm out? At home and work I drink coffee and water, don't really want to have either of those in a pub (or even at a restaurant) and I'm about to go away for a week and will spend lots of time in both!

The only ones I've found round us are diet coke/Pepsi or water! I asked last night in a Wetherspoons what diet drinks they had and he started telling me about fruit juice and j2o!!!

As above also soda water with ice and a slice. (I have it with whisky to make the water taste better)

I have water but take one of those robinsons squashed out with me (the really concerntrated ones fit nicely in your bag) adds a bit of flavour to the water.

I too find this tricky. Have stuck with soda with a slice of lime (which is free in all the pubs I have been to so far!) or soda with lime cordial. I don't like fizzy drinks so diet coke is out along with just about everything else!

Schweppes Slimline Bitter Lemon is nice and refreshing.

Yep tesco do their own brand as well but they are all pretty equal in price and all sugar free.

I'm not keen on Coke/Pepsi and once I'm pretty sure I was served full sugar version instead of diet version. But, I suppose diet lemonade would be an option.

I think I'll go for soda water and lime (or maybe sneak some squash in )

Just be careful with those pump dispensers they use in pubs and clubs, we've had numerous posts over the years where people have said they've been given full sugar coke instead of diet, if possible its best to ask for the drink in a can or bottle so you know what your drinking.
