I am a type 2 and keep a watch on my blood sugar level every morning.
Normally my bloods are usually between 5.5 when low and 12.5 when very high.
Recently my bloods have crept up and have sat at 10 - 11.5 for most of May without a change of diet (a little bit of stress)
That was until yesterday 20 May when it plummeted from 11.5 to 8.2 overnight.
We had a home made chicken curry made the usual way with the usual ingredients.
When making the rice added cardamom seeds an then turmeric but the lid fell off adding a lot more than usual.
The rice was a bit earthy and almost fluorescent but edible.
I am sure I have read somewhere that turmeric was "good" for diabetes but can't find anything now.
I have started adding it to other things now - baked beans are nice
Will let you all know how I get on
