A Patterdale called Ruby and two 8 month old cats, Pepper and Uhtred.
I really don't believe in coincidences!
Until August last year we had 2 gorgeous choccy labs Charlie age 12 left us in April and 14 yr old Bandit had to leave us in August, heartbreaking and missing them still hurts

Similar to us. We had the emotional blackmail when the son split with his wife that they'd have to go back to the cats home, they might not get homed together etc etc etc. Daisy is a very pretty tortishell and a total tart, will sit on anyones lap (especially if they don't like cats) and Alfie is a mackerel tabby, black & silver and a total wimp. Can't beleive how brother & sister can be so different. Like you we forgot to get a maintenance agreement, so cost a fortune in food (just try giving the supermarket brand) and vets. Mind you I don't think I'd give them back if he wanted themTwo thieving and generally disrespectful cats. In theory one of them belongs to each of our kids but I haven't noticed them buying the food or paying the Vets' bills, any time recently
We got one cos shes brilliant with kids and very chilled in the house.
Should have called her Shitfer though.6

Not often do you see a patterdale with a white belly, non round here! Most are entirely black with grey showing age, mine has a mink undercoat!
Will put a pic up later if he will sit still!
