Is it worth trying shorter sets?

I've never done this so I'm honestly not too sure but shorter sets does sound like the way to go, what size are you using?

Which sets are you using? Are you on the slimmer side...? Silhouettes (which are also called comfort or tender depending on your pump) can help overcome this I think....

Also where are you putting them? The stomach area is a lot more prone to this. Plus if you are inserting when you are hot it increases chances.
