1. The type of diabetes.
Type 2

2. The most probable cause in your case.
No idea as I had a number of lifestyle factors that could have influenced it - smoking, a history of yo-yo dieting though only ever overweight BMI, too much processed/convenience food, it's a bit of a guessing competition really.

3. How long ago you were diagnosed.
3 years

4. How it is managed in your case.
Diet and exercise

5. Gender
Female

6. Age
63

Look into carbohydrate metabolism and then ask why health bodies keep telling diabetics to eat over half their food as carbohydrates. It's completely illogical nonsense.

8. What is your nationality and country of residence at time of diagnosis?
Australian/Australia

Yeah I have heard, it has it's benefits but then you get people that completely cut out cars, which can be very unhealthy for some people
I'd love to read an actual medical case study of that happening because there is no such thing as an 'essential carbohydrate' - essential amino acids and essential fatty acids, but no carbohydrate. The Inuit and Maasai managed to survive with very low carbohydrate diets for life.

I've been eating less than 70g per day for the past 3 years and not only am I still walking around, I'm probably healthier than I've been in years :)
