M son who is 15 was diagnosed wth Diabetes type 1 about 2 months ago. I joined the forum to get more info so that I can support him better.

Hi thanks for encouraging words. My son is coping quite well. Of course he misses all the foods that he use to have b4. His insulin has reduced from 10, 10, 12, 26 to about 3,3,2,10. The 10 is for basal. We avoid all dairy and refine sugar altogether. We still monitor the blood glucose regularly.

His GAD65 has dropped from 40 to 26 after 2 months.
