Ok, six months in.

Hba1C on diagnosis (March 09) 10
(June 09) 6.5
TODays result 5.8

I am very pleased. My cholestoral has come down from 5,9 to 4,9 (in six monhts)

I am on 2 x 500 metformin, diet, and excercise (the latter has taken a bit of a battering the past week)

So far I have lost about 2 1/2 stone since hte beginning of the year.

When I first got diagnosed, by best friend became Mr Broccoli and mr cauliflower. Over the past few weeks, I have started to eat a bit more normal. I am careful, but not mad about what I eat, to the extent where I have cut out bread, and am using it as a treat, but will eat pasta (whcih is what I am doing at the moment)

This is not a post to brag, it is a post to say - it can be done. Now just to keep it up, but at least I know I can do it now.
