Does anyone have any problems / fears of their blood sugar going low? I've been struggling with this for a while and it's been making me not wanting to take as much insulin. It's mainly because of the feeling, not being able to think properly and do anything that scares me. Just wondered if anyone was in the same boat as me :)

I'm exactly the same. Sometimes I'd take less insulin and I know that it goes high but the next day I'd do the same! For me, it's down to times when I've got low so fast for no reason. I'd have X amount of units and it will be fine, the next day everything would be the same but I'd take the insulin and just fly down to like 3.0 within an hour. I try to forget about it and just take the right amount of insulin but easier said than done

Yes!!! I hate the anxiety which surrounds a hypo, especially when youre out socialising or are at work. When im hypo I cant think straight and even talk to myself inside my head, tis very weird and scary. Youre not alone :')

That is interesting, I am the exact opposite. I actually prefer to be low over high. I cannot stand how I feel when I am high, but I function really well when I am low.

The solution is to experiment if you understand what you are and when then you will cope.
When I am normal 5-8 mmol/li make sure I have some chocolate or other such in my pocket so that should I go low - I just look greedy, also I have noticed that when I am out of my routine I get low or equally high as it is out of my routine.
Not sure if this is of any help but I think the answer is to try and read your moods, body and work with it if you are low then eat if you are high then exercise, not excessively just see what works and go with it. My Dad who also has type one walks up and down stairs when he is high and just has a bar or chocolate when he is low it's kind of a ballance not one we always get right but, the better you know it, the better you can cope, unfortunately there isn't a silver bullet it is just experience -anyhow we are all out here worrying and kind of coping, not sure if this helps, hope it does.
