Do you know about correction doses?

No don't go to A&E until you've given a correction dose and see if that works, drink a lot of water, that helps too. If it doesn't come down at all or rises more in 90 mins/2 hours, then call out of hours.

Test every hour at that level and take a correction as someone else mentioned. What are you at now? Do you have a bug or anything?

Mine was 20 an hour ago. Took 2.5 novo rapid and its 10.0 now. May be best to try and do a correction dosage before worrying too mich

Have u tested for ketones ?

Thanks for all your comments I ended up in hospital had high levels of ketones in the bloodstream so they gave me insulin therapy. On the mend now

Hi. Glad you got some help. What insulin regime are you on? If you are on mixed do ask to be changed to Basal/Bolus which gives better control. Do seek ongoing guidance from your DN with regard to getting the insulins right and doing carb-counting if your aren't already.
