I make a Kale shake with about 1 cup of Soy milk, 1 strand of Kale, about 1/4 cup of water, 1/2 avacado, and 1 cup of flavored yogurt. Leave out the avocado if you don't want it to thicken.
I think you should get some advice from a specialist diabetic nurse. That's if the funding hasn't been cut...which I'm sure it won't have been. Reading how much we can control this through good eating habits and exercise its so important to have a plan and advice from a specific source will benefit you enormously.
