Or maybe that because there is no fat being consumed then the body has to use up all of its own supplies.

Or you could try an egg and butter "fast" I was going to do that for alternate days in Feb but life got in the way.. maybe March madness..
I would add the butter to some "bone broth" aka stock as a drink (and have done on extended fasts) seems to work quite well.

Yep I find that eggs and butter are the best combo whichever way, without adding more any liquid.
Personally I find soya juice revolting too.
