    Type 1's on metformin?

    I've been on metformin for many years. Firstly to help lower insulin doses and my DSN also told me that it provides protection for the heart.

    What do you do about hypoglycemia unawareness?

    I too no longer have good hypo awareness. All I do is test frequently. If I don't "feel" quite right I test.
