I'm about to start using it, got fed up of FSL cgm giving unrealistic readings and having to finger prick check so often. I gather D1+ can be calibrated to a finger prick test and also used on abdomen or thigh. and is cheaper £ wise. Have you had issues with the adhesive ?

DD Hava app, are you trying it

Thank you for your reply, its Interesting to hear there has been little progress in the development. I was doing the initial trial when I posted back in January but gave up shortly after posting this tread, for same reasons you give. Such a shame as Diet Doctor itself is such a good resource...

DD Hava app, are you trying it

As I understand the Satiety factor of what you eat is their main measurement. So you are aiming to eat foods that keep you feeling full and not hungry after each meal.

DD Hava app, are you trying it

Hi, I think much of what I've said to VioletViolet answers some of your question. I've used the DD App and site for some years and yes, found all the articles and recipes extremely good, informative and applicable to my situation. But for me I'm finding recording the daily, mundane food choices...

DD Hava app, are you trying it

As I've been low carbing for 9yrs it's kind of automatic for me now so the foods I buy and choose to eat all fall in the low carb region. I'm finding using Hava does influence what I choose to eat as I'm mindful of how my meal is being scored by the app so I sometimes make changes so the score...

    Vitamin B12 confusion

Well, this thread has just confirmed to me that there needs to be a standardised measurement for all these tests, even within the active or serum B12 there seem to be many different units used. You'd think they didn't want us to take an interest in our own health

    Vitamin B12 confusion

Yes, need to get fully back in the lchf saddle and stop just leading the horse round the paddock ;)) I've kept to pre diabetes range for past 9yrs , with the odd blip which I've always managed to get back down. But find as time goes on I am more easily swayed by the external pressures "a...

DD Hava app, are you trying it

Yes I would normally have thought the same but DD and Jason Fung were my lifelines when I was diagnosed Type II 9yrs ago so I'm happy to register. So glad I found them.

DD Hava app, are you trying it

Hi, was just looking to see if anyone else is trying the new DD Hava app. I've been recording my meals on it since 4th Jan. Think I'm getting the hang of it now but find I have to plan meals carefully if I'm to hit the protein target. In fact I've had to get some protein shake powder as was...

Thank you, that is reassuring to know. I will ask my GP next time I have my annual blood test review if they will include B12 just to be on safe side.

    Vitamin B12 confusion

Yes, I've contacted them, I only paid for the £49 one and am a bit miffed that I've not had the results I actually wanted. Think they must have sent me the wrong test as looks as though the kit is the same just a different activation code .

    Vitamin B12 confusion

Hi All, I’m hoping some of you will be able to help me understand some recent blood test results I’ve received. I bought a HbA1c test from the shop on this site as I am in need of some motivation to get back on the low carb wagon after an indulgent Christmas. Did the test, posted off, a week...

    Brown Rice & Whole-wheat pasta

I have found that those packs of 2 portion pre cooked rice that you microwave for 2 minutes have no impact on my blood glucose. ..... I know , unbelievable eh. I had read about resistant starch thought it improbable but , well, to my surprise no peak on cgm. maybe worth an experiment for you?

    Type 2 Adjusting

You're getting good advice from everyone and there's lots of excellent information to be found on this site. I just want to say that your test results are yours and in the past I would phone receptionist and ask for a printout which I would collect. These days I can see all my test results on...

Type 2 unmedicated, is CGM a good investment?

Hi, your history seems to mirror mine. Been LCHF controlling my T2 for 7 yrs, then last year lost focus (new partner = indulging in craft beers, eating out frequently, etc) So following wake up call, my annual blood test results being bad , HBa1c 53 , I bought CGM libre 2 and love it. Love the...

A Separate Thread For Type 2 - Diet Only

I completely understand your desire for a diet only thread. When initially diagnosed 3 yrs ago I used to read this site daily and found it very supportive. But also confusing for the same reasons you give, I'd be following someone's posts thinking their experience related to mine only to find...
