Hello All, I hope I am finding you all well. Apologies if this has been already posted but I couldn't find anything when looking. I received an invitation for the Covid vaccine which is great but I thought they were only concentrating on groups 1-4 until March? I myself would be classed in...

Hi John, Just a quick question in relation to the bronchiectasis what were your symptoms & how were you diagnosed or what test did you have to diagnose bronchiectasis ? I’m asking because a few years ago I had a chest X-ray which was abnormal with the notes saying likely changes for...

But I’m on a low carb diet I thought maybe I’d be lacking in something, I’d also want to boost my immune system too. I think multivitamins cover most areas? I don’t really know...

Any type 2 severely insulin resistant people here?

Hello. I'd like to work this out myself but I don't know where to get my figures to use from? Sorry I am still learning about diabetes as I've not been diagnosed long. Do I get the readings from the testing kit I use? Apologies if my questions are silly. Thank you.

    Reliability of Testing Kits?

Thank you for your reply. I think that's the important thing that the readings are ok-ish. Since I was diagnosed 6 months ago I am still trying to learn more about it all. I think the readings seem OK although I think they should be lower maybe.

    Reliability of Testing Kits?

Hi porl69, thank you for your reply. Yes I was going to stick with one of them but I am not sure which one yet. I was hoping to get some feedback from people with regards to kits they use and if anybody uses the kits I do so to make the choice a bit easier.

    Reliability of Testing Kits?

Hi, Since being diagnosed with T2 around 6 months ago, I have been testing myself at home just to keep an eye on levels. I was told I didn't need to but I do it anyway. I was diagnosed due to an initial reading of 119 hba1c but in January the second blood test showed it went down to 51 which...

Hello all, once again thank you for the responses, this has been such a help for me, I am so glad I've found this forum. The readings today were better again but only slightly. This morning when I got up it was 15.4, then before my main meal it was 15.2 and 2 hours from that it was 14.9 which...

    Diagnosed last Friday.

Thank you all so much for the replies, I really appreciate it. Diabell, I haven't been showing the Type 1 symptoms, I am quite overweight whereby my GP classed me as "morbidly obese", so I have been trying to lose weight rather than losing it unnaturally. So I took my bloods before my meal...

    Diagnosed last Friday.

Thank you Goonergal, I've just taken the reading again, albeit 4 hours after eating and it's gone down by a point from 17.9 to 16.9 so I suppose that's ok under the circumstances. Will do it around 2 hours after from now on, thank you for that :) I wasn't 100% happy with my meal today though as...

Hi All, I hope I am finding everybody well. I am new to the forum and being my first post I am feeling a little apprehensive. Since the diagnosis my head has been all over the place with so many questions, what I should be doing and not doing (not counting the obvious stuff). My diagnosis...
