My GP thinks a fasting blood of 7 or above is normal???

Hi, I have similar random spikes sometimes 7 upon awakening. My research led me to realise the liver provides a natural “spike” into the bloodstream every morning upon waking up. The liver releases a dose of glycogen, this allows the whole system to get an energy boost and get your muscles ready...

Twitching right eyelids (bottom & top); & now left eyelids too

I thought I’d update…I stopped my metformin 36 hours ago and the twitching has declined so much that it’s 99% gone. I can’t see my nurse for 2 weeks so have to try and manage for a bit using my knowledge….im controlling my own BS, under 6.5, generally under 6….morning and 3 hours after reduced...

Twitching right eyelids (bottom & top); & now left eyelids too

If it were something sinister I’m sure...

Twitching right eyelids (bottom & top); & now left eyelids too

Hi, yes it’s beyond tired twitching, it kicks in about 3 hours after I take my metformin….im getting the diabetic eye dilation check in 2 months so I’ll mention it but it’s quite obvious. Others are sure theirs is linked to their meds so I am tempted to stop mine and see if it improves then...

Twitching right eyelids (bottom & top); & now left eyelids too

So, I started metformin for T2D, 6 months ago. 4 months ago I developed what I’d call intermittent but severe eye twitching, initially in one eye, top lid area, then bottom of eye then it’s moved to my left eye too and bottom but my right seems affected worse. I’ve read metformin can cause b12...
