Hi! Anyone managed to get xDrip4iOS working with Libre2Plus? My prescription is being forced from Libre2 to the Plus DOH! I’m currently using Shuggah, didn’t realise they stole it from xDrip! Any help would be fab!
Hi fellow T1s!
Is Lantus still the go-to basal insulin these days? I used it for years but switched to Levemir during pregnancy. Thinking of going back to Lantus now, but wanted to see if there's anything newer or better out there? And are there any current concerns about Lantus (I vaguely...
I’m 23 weeks, bloods all ok (except low iron, taking tablets) & sugars in range 83% so hospital not toooo concerned but have booked extra scan because my insulin needs/resistance just isn’t increasing, which it had a lot by now in first pregnancy. Anyone else experienced this? I had a big leap...
Hi. Before IVF my basal was 18. During IVF and 7-week pregnancy it went up to 32. I’m now more than 3 weeks post-miscarriage and insulin needs still at 32. They said hormones could be up for 3 weeks after the miscarriage. Has anyone else experienced this, that their insulin resistance didn’t go...
Thank you. Do you know what age you can use the generic adult sticks on kids? As I know the bs parameters when they’re born is very different. My sister is diabetic, my aunt was and they thought my niece was becoming so I think if my son showed signs they’d actually test for a different type of...
Hello,
I remember reading somewhere (maybe in pregnancy books) that other parents would occasionally test their babies urine for high blood sugars. I’d like to do this occasionally (lots of diabetes in the family) but can’t for the life of me find simple testing sticks to do this…. Only adult...
My niece’s blood sugars started to go out of range and she saw specialists who put her on vitamins and probiotics and they went back in range - it’s def worth trying if anyone gets a young T1 in early stages
Also….. it’s key for me personally to find out early if any offspring have diabetes as with an aunt, sister and offspring they would then do a genetic test to see if is one of the rare types that actually can be treated as I understand

Google away my friend! Try “probiotics to prevent type 1” and you’ll get lots of things like this….. my baby has been on probiotics since birth in the hope it will help I very much believe a healthy gut is key…...
Lots would disagree! Prebiotics etc for kiddies can arguably delay/prevent, lots of positive trials going on :-) Some also try to avoid formula/gluten early in life - lots of debate on these….
Yes emailed diabetes team but no reply. Nobody medical seems to care when you’re trying to do everything to prevent your offspring getting T1 - like it’s OTT to be desperate for them to not have their life ruled by it 24/7!!
Can anyone recommend urine test strips suitable for testing babies occasionally? I’ve read a few times that diabetic parents check their baby’s urine a few times a year which we’d like to do as several T1s in the family but when you Google test strips it just comes up with strips to test a...
Hi, I think I’ve been putting off posting this as it means admitting to myself I’m doing it..... absolutely dreading IVF, feel so sick and anxious.....
Anyway! Can anyone who has done IVF say which drugs made sugars go up and down and by how much? Fertility Drs don’t think they’ll have much...
No my basal is spot on at the moment I think. I have to change it by 0.5 every few days but pretty sure it’s good. My basal is odd because I have to split it and give 18 daytime and 4.5 nighttime as it just doesn’t last 24 hours for me and more at either time just sends me low!
So helpful everyone thank you. I’m on Novorapid at meals (although prob 5/6 times a day really for small correction doses to manage the pre-pregnancy planning tightly) and Levermir 18 in the morning and 3.5 at night (which also always makes me low at night but 3 isn’t enough!!)
I don’t think...
