Does appear to be diabetics aren’t on the list of extremely vulnerable as far as uk government’s concerned despite WHO listing us when I last checked.
This means we aren’t elligible for the government’s help with food delivery’s etc that those included can sign up for which is frustrating as I...
This may be a very daft question but I’m a morbidly obese type 2 who has just been started on 0.25mg ozempic self injecting.
My question is simple I am pushing the needle into my flesh and pressing down not stupidly hard but a little pressure but the needle is quite small so I’m wondering if...
Based on what I can see on line it looks like buying and grinding flax seed might be the cheapest option for a flour alternative
I know a lot of people rave about Almond flour but on a budget that's too pricy (as are the almonds generally on all the sites I have scoured in the quantity I would...
***edit - didn't notice this was in the type 1 forum I'm also type 2 which obviously has different needs***
I'm trying around 160 as I'm still new to it all. Occasionally slipping over but not doing too bad.
Not sure how the higher fat is going to impact on weight which is something I need to...
Basically because of my heavy weight my bmr is quite high so if I was doing a normal calorie diet where as someone with a bit to lose might be advised one set of calories mine was significantly higher than a normal man trying to lose weight.
Just trying to understand if I face the same on here.
Thanks for all the feedback, I will have a chat with the diabetic nurse also when I see her. Was just concerned as I am very heavy that I was getting enough for my body as a whole while taking the carbs into account.
Hi,
I'm curious does weight impact the number of carbs one should eat (appreciate the basic that less is best with diabetes) but I am very heavy and my cal recommendation is quite higher than a normal dieters even for weight loss so just wondering if there are any implications or should I still...
@SimonCrox, the numbness went by this morning hopefully it will stay gone. Sadly the stomach issues haven't will certainly be calling the doctors back up if I'm still suffering tomorrow.
Thank you very much for that info I spoke with a doctor about the stomach issue and thigh numbness she said to see how I am doing end of week and if I'm still having issues they will consider offering me the different release mechanism metformin
Was concerned this was happening to me as I woke up yesterday with numbness at the front and side around my thigh area but it seems to have gone now so may have just been an odd reaction to metformin as it was the morning after my first tablet. Just hoping it doesn't come back.
Hi Guzzler, currently just prescribed Metformin 500mg at breakfast for two weeks then meant to increase to another 500mg evening after two weeks.
My doctor wasn't bothered either way about testing so I don't have anything yet but I signed up for the type2testing program as I would like to keep...
Sorry to start a new post I have seen various people report this however most seem to say it's when they increase the dose.
I am newly diagnosed and literally just started on 500mg Metformin (as far as I know standard type).
First morning pill was yesterday and no obvious side effects, this am...
